Job Title: Automotive Functional consultant

Work Location: Torrance, CA

 

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced functional consultant with thorough understanding of the Dealer Management Systems for Automotive / Industrial / Heavy Equipment sector

 

Responsibilities:

  • Functional Consulting : Lead the process cataloguing and functional design for the next generation Dealer Management system for a leading automotive customer
  • Should have implemented at least one or more E2E Dealer Management Systems including in depth understanding of functional modules such as – Sales , Inventory Management , Parts & Service Management, Integrated accounting etc.
  • Should be able to drive workshops with business stakeholders , articulate requirements and build user stories for product backlog creation
  • Create detailed user stories for the technical team and take accountability for clarity and consistency
  • Drive user demos and coach the business team for conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Should have full implementation lifecycle experience in Agile methodology. ( 3 or more programs)
  • Should be able to work effectively with the technical team to ensure delivery timelines , quality & schedule are met.
  • Should have worked in a multi-vendor / stakeholder environment and has managed multi-workstream complex projects with minimum foresight
  • Will be responsible for ensuring that all deliverables are met in a timely manner, is able to manage program risks, interdependencies, manage stakeholder expectations, provide accurate reporting to leadership at a program and workstream level as well.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business,  Science, Statistics or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in the automotive / industrial / heavy equipment domain or relevant consulting experience in these industries.
  • Experience with Agile Project Management tools like Azure Devops or JIRA and
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and present complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • This is a Hybrid Role and expectation is to be available in the client office for 2 or more days per week.

Max Salary:  $129,800/year
