"Your key responsibilities

• Solicits and records detailed customer requirements, constraints, and assumptions with stakeholders in order to establish the project deliverables, using requirement-gathering techniques (e.g., planning sessions, brainstorming, focus groups) and the project charter.

• Identifies key project team members, roles, and organization structure so team members are aligned and that project expectations are defined.

• Participates in and may conduct kick-off meeting with all key stakeholders in order to announce the start of the project and review the overall project plan and gain consensus.

• Measures project performance using appropriate tools and techniques in order to monitor the progress of the project or sub-project. Identifies and quantifies any variances, performs any required corrective actions, and communicates to all stakeholders.

• Works with stakeholders to incorporate changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques in order to keep the project plan accurate, updated, reflective of authorized project changes as defined in the change management plan, and facilitate customer acceptance.

• Documents project risks, assumptions, and constraints.

• Implements the approved actions and workarounds required to mitigate project risk events in order to minimize the impact of the risks on the project.

• Builds a high-performing team. Focuses on ever-improving team dynamics and performance.

• Communicates with management and outside stakeholders. Helps protect the team from uncontrolled injection of work.

• Promote Continuous Delivery, DevOps culture & tools and other technical practices

• Identifies high-level risks, assumptions, and constraints and implements approved actions and workarounds to minimize the impact of risks on the project.

• Communicate any development or resourcing roadblocks to leadership and facilitate resolution.

• Creates/implements solutions to obstacles/challenges throughout the course of the project.

• Facilitates solutions across projects, leveraging experiences and lessons learned.

• Develops and maintains relationships with stakeholders beyond IT Services, including (but not limited to) Finance, Communications and Legal to cover any all potential downstream implications of the project.

• Improves team performance by building team cohesiveness, leading, mentoring, training, and motivating in order to facilitate cooperation among the team.

• Measures project performance using appropriate tools and techniques to monitor the progress of the project, identify and quantify any variances, perform any required corrective actions, and communicate to all stakeholders.

• Demonstrate business skills with the ability to effectively negotiate priorities across multiple groups/teams.

Skills and attributes for success

• Responsible for projects of moderate size and complexity that require the ability to create and implement timelines related to project deliverables, assign tasks, follow up on their completion, and manage sponsor/customer expectations of the outcome of the deliverables.

• Identifies problems or risks and prepares risk management and issues management plans to facilitate the selection and implementation of the most appropriate solution. Identifies potential points of contention for missed deliverables.

• Monitors and manages project scope, schedule, budget, risks and quality to ensure project activities/tasks are occurring as planned and that any variances are identified. Makes recommendations on solutions and influences decisions.

• Escalates issues to management as appropriate.

• Strong team player, able to work effectively as part of cross-functional and distributed teams across multiple time zones.

• Effective analytical skills to grasp complexities and perceive relationships among problems, issues and solutions.

• Excellent communicational skills (stakeholder management, negotiation, facilitation, influencing)
