Role: DevSecOps Engineer

Location: Barcelona, Spain

Hybrid Work Model: YES (2 DAYS/WEEK)                                       

Language Proficiency: English & (Spanish OR French – Nice To Have)

Knowledge:

• Advanced knowledge in Software Engineering delivery models (Agile, Scale Agile, DevSecOps)
• Advanced knowledge in Agile and DevSecOps practices

Skills:

• Able to work in a truly global environment
• Strong knowledge on software engineering practices along the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• Knowledge on Lean and Agile product management
• Experience working on integrated DevSecOps tool chain ecosystem (GitHub, JFrog Artifactory, Jira, Confluence, SonarQube)
• Experience on Continuous Integration (CD) and Continuous Deployment (CD) practices (GitHub Actions)
• Experience on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and GitOps technologies (Terraform or Ansible, Docker and Kubernetes) and cloud providers (Azure or AWS)
• Able to steer and guide software offers by dealing with the adoption of referenced guidelines and practices along the SDLC
• Strong communication skills
• Strong project management skills, being able to build a deployment/migration roadmap with business stakeholders and deliver according to plan with the support of Jira Support Team
• Strong collaboration skills to partner with business stakeholders in charge of software offers' SDLC practices
• Change management skills to define and execute a communication and training strategy to ensure correct adoption by teams
• Able to engage with stakeholders across different time zones, especially India, Europe and America
• Able to run an assessment of a Team way of working and propose continuous improvement plan based on internal defined assessments

Main Responsibilities: 

DevSecOps Playbooks

• Develop detailed documentation as a catalogue of playbooks with a focus on DevSecOps practices adoption (CI, CD, Security, Quality, Safety, …)
• Develop technical blueprints with focus on DevSecOps practices in targeted ecosystem of tools
• Develop change management (communication and training) materials to ensure right adoption
• Run a couple of pilot migrations to test and learn before launching global deployment
• Build a global deployment roadmap according to business needs and available resources
• Deliver training sessions to teams adopting practices
• Build and maintain a tracker to show deployment progress, risks, and impediments

Software Engineering Change Management

• Assess a couple of business offers on their current position of DevSecOps practices and inefficiencies with existing assessment on practice areas (continuous quality, continuous delivery, …)
• Propose continuous improvement plans for software engineering practices adoption
• Follow and advise business offers on their continuous improvement plan
• Collaborate with subject matters experts on adoption journey assessment on practice areas
• Challenge existing assessments for their improvement
• Promote the culture change on business stakeholders
• Build and maintain a tracker to show deployment progress, risks, and impediments
