Overseas Contractor
This role is a seconded role into our client organisation for long term reporting into CIO
The role leads the enterprise PMO function and is responsible for designing the framework within which projects are created managed and completed
Immediate priority for this newly created role is to pull a single view of project portfolio displaying high degree of professionalism and stakeholder influence across a broad range of stakeholders in the client organisation
The role is focused on creating approach documentation and process according to which projects are identified prioritised and delivered with high quality positive stakeholder and employee engagement and beforetime and beforebudget
The suitable person for this role would have 10 years of experience in creating effective Enterpriselevel project management office with PMO processes and would have overseen at least 2 end to end cycles of PMO office creation to effectively delivering projects
Exceptional communication abilities executive presence and ability to operate with comfort in business situations with high degree of ambiguity is essential
Previous experience in Management Consulting Strategy Business Performance Transformation role with a Big4 firm will be highly valued though not essential
Role details
Take primary accountability for ensuring the effective delivery of a portfolio of projects change initiatives on behalf of the Exec team relevant Business Sponsors These will vary in size complexity and number over time based on the priorities of the business
Work with the various program and project sponsors delivery teams and key stakeholders to draft and implement Program delivery framework to support the Organisation strategy by supporting the case for the work ie relevant funding submission and then oversee the delivery of their portfolio and the realisation of agreed benefits as detailed in the approved funding submissions
The role is also required to ensure ongoing maintenance of the integrity and integration of each component of these initiatives through oversight of progress and delivery management of in flight and pipeline interdependencies and ensuring that the benefits are delivered
Role experience and skills needed
Overall experience in PMO Business and or Tech program management 15 years
Clear track record of delivering largecomplexstrategic projectsprograms of work min 5 years of experience in this
Strong Business Program Management Experience in initiation discovery and planning phases
Skilled in managing Clevel executive relationships governance and steering committees
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effective change management influencing and delivery risk management
Sound business case development and management oversighting skills
Inclusive collaborative and engaging approach including the ability to consult facilitate negotiate and influence with a broad range of people at all levels
Ability to structure and manage multidisciplinary teams across multiple functions creatively define the project pacing and obtain incremental benefits before the program is complete
Sound Domain knowledge in Service industry ideally in Education or Early childhood care or Healthcare industry
