Technical Product Manager

Role Details

As a member of the Paramount Content Systems Product team youll own the tools and

systems that power our streaming experiences Youll play an instrumental role in ensuring

that Paramount can be operated efficiently as we grow with millions of new subscribers in

numerous countries around the world

This is a brandnew team that is rapidly growing and is focused on solving problems and

improving workflows and tools for the people we work with every day Were looking for smart

intelligentlycrafted tools that can allow our teams efforts to scale as our business grows

premium content to millions of people every day

This role is focused on delivering on and contributing to the vision and roadmap for our Live

Streaming Systems Tools You will act as a technical product owner for our Live Services

Platform the infrastructure and services that power our live events orchestration These

systems are integral to enabling the thousands of hours of live events feeding Paramount

applications and managing their evolution is critical to the success of the service and to our

ability to manage and deliver such an immense mountain of entertainment Come help us

Responsibilities

Act as Product Owner for a scrum team dedicated to the Paramount Live Services

Platform

Collaborate with the Live Streaming Operations Engineering teams to build knowledge

of existing live streamingrelated systems and gain an understanding of needs from the

larger team in order to translate those needs into actionable projects and longterm

roadmap

Engage in scrum team activities grooming planning standups story writing and

prioritization

Provide clear vision to support technical development including but not limited to scope

documentation use cases workflows sequence diagrams UML diagrams etc

Work across domains and external teams to ensure all requirements are gathered and

documented in JIRA

Align various stakeholders across product technology operations on delivery scope

and in preparation for launches

Work to meet agreed upon time frames target dates with the scrum team and PMO

partners

Develop trust across teams and build relationships to ensure collaboration across

groups facilitate execution within a complex organizational environment

Create a strong partnership with both Live Streaming Operations Engineering work

together to determine solutions and ensure that the development team has all the

information they need to successfully execute initiatives

Additional other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

35 years of experience in product management for software development with

demonstrated competence in prioritizing against business value and balancing

tradeoffs

Demonstrated passion for building workflow tools and supporting internal teams

Deep understanding of comfort with complex technical workflow systems and tools

including videorelated workflows with bonus points for experience with Live systems

Ability to define prioritize and execute on a Live Streaming product backlog across

multiple systems and stakeholders

Strong interest in and understanding of the streaming media landscape

Able to form valuable relationships with people across functional groups in order to

facilitate effective product development

Strong sense of best practices for product management and have extensive experience

with Agile development methodologies

Excellent communication skills ability to lead meetings and drive results
