Role Overview
The Project Manager will lead and deliver complex, cross‑functional business and technology initiatives with minimal management oversight. This role acts as a strategic liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring initiatives are planned, executed, and delivered successfully in alignment with business objectives.
Primary Skills & Responsibilities
Project & Program Management
- Lead and manage large cross‑functional projects and programs with minimal supervision
- Own end‑to‑end responsibility for scope definition, planning, execution, tracking, and delivery against business objectives
- Manage dependencies, risks, issues, and capacity across multiple initiatives
Business & Technology Alignment
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams
- Identify, analyze, and translate business needs into clear project objectives, scope, and requirements
- Recommend technology‑enabled solutions and process improvements aligned with business goals
Requirements, Testing & Delivery Oversight
- Oversee requirements gathering, documentation, and change control
- Plan and manage unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Ensure smooth implementation and transition to operations
Data‑Driven Decision Making
- Analyze business reports, system data, and performance metrics to track project outcomes
- Provide actionable insights, metrics, and status reporting to business and IT leadership, including C‑level stakeholders
Secondary / Value‑Add Skills
Process Improvement & Optimization
- Identify opportunities for process standardization, optimization, and automation
- Drive systems integration and technology improvements to enhance business efficiency
Domain & Functional Knowledge
- Strong business / insurance domain understanding
- Working knowledge of IT delivery models:
- Agile
- Waterfall
- Hybrid
Leadership & Mentorship
- Serve as a subject matter expert within the discipline
- Coach, review, and delegate work to junior team members and analysts
- Lead moderately complex IT initiatives and handle escalations
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent practical experience
- Preferred certifications:
- Scrum Master (CSM)
- PMP
