Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Full Stack .NET Developer with strong AWS Cloud expertise to support the ICW Claims POD. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing scalable full-stack applications across frontend, backend, and data layers, leveraging AWS-native services and modern Agile practices. This role requires strong technical expertise in .NET, AWS serverless solutions, API development, CI/CD, and cloud observability.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Backend & Full Stack Development
- 5–8 years of experience in software development.
- Strong hands-on expertise with .NET Core 6/8 and C#.
- Experience building scalable full-stack applications including frontend, backend, and database layers.
- Strong SQL skills, including query writing, scripting, and database interactions.
AWS Cloud & API Development
- Experience developing AWS-based APIs using serverless and event-driven architectures.
- Hands-on experience with AWS CDK for infrastructure provisioning and template consumption.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design and documentation using Swagger/OpenAPI.
- Experience with AWS services such as:
- API Gateway
- Lambda
- CloudWatch
- X-Ray
- Event-driven architectures
DevOps & Quality Engineering
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Git-based workflows.
- Strong knowledge of automated testing frameworks such as NUnit or xUnit.
- Experience working with Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices.
- Ability to maintain API documentation standards and publish APIs to developer portals.
Agile & Collaboration
- Experience working in Agile/SAFe environments.
- Participation in sprint ceremonies and Program Increment (PI) Planning.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within distributed global teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within the Insurance and Claims domain.
- Familiarity with Guidewire platforms and implementation projects.
- Exposure to microservices architecture and distributed systems.
- Participation in solution design discussions and lightweight architecture reviews.
- Strong focus on performance optimization, monitoring, and observability best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy .NET Core-based microservices on AWS.
- Build scalable cloud-native applications using AWS services and serverless technologies.
- Participate in SAFe PI Planning, sprint ceremonies, and Agile delivery activities.
- Consume and implement AWS CDK templates provided by Cloud Engineering teams.
- Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for application deployment.
- Ensure application performance, monitoring, logging, and observability standards are met.
- Maintain high unit test coverage and follow TDD best practices.
- Create and maintain API documentation and developer portal publications.
- Collaborate with remote teams across multiple time zones.
- Contribute to solution design discussions and continuous improvement initiatives.
