Senior Specialist – Workday (Expenses & Payroll)
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience working with Workday, with strong expertise in Expenses, Payroll, Integrations, and Business Processes.
Key Responsibilities
Workday Expenses – Implementation & Support
- Lead Workday Expenses implementations and management across the organization.
- Manage module implementations for new legal entities.
- Design and configure entity-specific expense policies, limits, and approval thresholds.
- Build, configure, and maintain expense business processes and approval workflows in alignment with local and global policies.
- Manage and update expense rate tables, conditional logic, and validation rules.
- Integrate corporate credit card transactions into Workday, including technical setup, reconciliation, and monitoring.
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for end users and approvers.
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to monitor expense compliance and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Collaborate closely with Finance and ERP teams on integrations by defining technical specifications, performing data mapping, and leading Unit Testing (UT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Continuously enhance the Workday Expenses module by adopting new Workday features and best practices.
Payroll Configuration, Integration & Support
- Configure and maintain Workday Payroll components, including security roles, pay elements, and mappings.
- Manage and support integrations with payroll providers such as ADP, Celergo, and other regional payroll systems.
- Handle payroll-related interfaces including:
- HCM data files
- Absence files
- Payslips and tax form delivery
- Lead and support payroll troubleshooting efforts across multiple countries and systems.
- Implement, test, and support Workday-to-payroll integrations, including:
- Technical requirements gathering
- Data mapping and configuration
- End-to-end UAT coordination
- Drive continuous improvement of payroll interfaces to ensure high data quality and reliability.
- Manage payroll-related projects such as new entity onboarding and employee transfers.
- Design and deliver payroll operational and compliance reports.
Workday Integrations & Business Processes
- Lead implementation of Workday integrations with third-party vendors, including:
- DocuSign
- Reward Gateway
- SmartRecruiters
- Equifax
- Other external suppliers
- Define, implement, and enhance Workday business processes to meet evolving operational and compliance requirements.
- Act as a bridge between functional and technical teams, translating business requirements into effective Workday solutions.

- Proven ability to lead global implementations and multi-country support.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder management skills.
