Senior Specialist - Cloud Services and Software

Job Description:

• Seeking an experienced-on shore Cloud Architect/ Engineer to support Clients Business Insurance and help grow our cloud capabilities by strategizing, defining, architecting, and leading modern cloud solutions.

Must Have Skills:

• Possess a minimum 2+ years of hands extensive experience with AWS public cloud and AWS Serverless (Lambda and Step Functions) and container (EKS) technologies to help application teams with code rewrites
• Possess a strong engineering background
• Have expertise in NodeJS, Java or .NET runtimes
• Able to document architectural artifacts to lead the delivery of successful implementations
• Develop and coordinate cloud architecture across application teams including application development, identity and access management, network and data management, and security
• Have hands on experience in Git Ops flows and CI/CD and demonstrate a skill proficiency in HashiCorp Terraform/CloudFormation Enterprise.
• Provide designs for engineers on multiple projects on how to deliver programmatic elements of the implementation
• Maintain strong relationships with many software engineers and tech leads
• Be conversant in:

1. Cloud architecture patterns including PaaS and IaaS, Serverless, containers, API-driven and event-driven application design
2. Domain driven design and Microservices
3. Enterprise application and cloud modernization initiatives
4. Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automated deployment (CI/CD) and security-first development practices
5. Technology modernization initiatives including migration to cloud native and API Strategy
6. Current deep experience with AWS, APIs, accelerators, DevSecOps
7. AWS Cloud Architecture Certification or strong architecture experience on AWS
