Mandatory Certification (Any one from below) : Oracle Database PL/SQL Developer Certified Professional Oracle Database SQL Certified Associate Senior Data Analyst (Hands On) – VP: Job Description The Senior Data Analyst is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments in the Data Engineering space and contributes to Data strategy for Core Accounts. Is a recognized technical authority for a line of business. Is proficient in data modeling and converting a complex set of business data into the business entities usable by different applications, business and operations stakeholders. Candidate will be working on fast-paced, highly visible and challenging projects. Candidate is expected to be a self-starter and someone who loves technology in general and excels when challenged. Responsibilities: • Create logical and physical data models for reporting and analytics use cases, using best practices to ensure high data quality, optimal performance and reduced redundancy. • Lead the definition and ongoing management of target data architecture for reporting applications with focus on standards and performance. • Work with the Application Development team to implement data strategies, build data flows and develop conceptual data models. • Act as an expert consultant to team management on various data architecture related planning and drive the data architecture initiatives. • Optimize and update logical and physical data models to support new and existing projects. • Maintain logical and physical data models along with accurate metadata. • Define and maintain accurate functional data definitions and taxonomies for entities and attributes. • Work with DBA teams and support groups to proactively handle and resolve performance issues in reporting applications. • Own and ensure error free and smooth delivery of data model deliverables to various DB environments. • Ensure and enforce a governance process to oversee implementation activities and ensure alignment to the defined architecture. • Develop and contribute to best practices for standard naming conventions and coding practices to ensure consistency of data models. • Analyze data-related system integration challenges and propose appropriate solutions with strategic approach. • Examine new application design and perform periodic code review of ETL and Reporting SQLs and recommend corrections as required. Qualifications: • 8-12 years’ experience in analyzing and defining banking reporting and analytical application data structures and architecture • Expert level practical knowledge of Oracle and complex SQLs for reporting applications. • Expertise in Data warehousing concepts, Star and Snowflake schema, Relational Schema, Partitioning, Indexes etc. • Should have significant experience in Apache Kudu or Impala data schema designing methods, partitioning strategies, etc. • Knowledge and understanding of Big Data technologies and architecture would be added advantage. • Preferable Experience with No SQL and relational databases • Demonstrated influencing, facilitation and partnering skills with various stakeholders at different levels. • Proven and practical hands on experience in various modeling methodology like Dimensional and relational Modeling etc. • Track record of interfacing with and presenting results to senior management • Analytical, flexible, team-oriented and have good interpersonal/communication skills • Good functional understanding and experience on Banking domain. • 6-8 years demonstrated experience in Erwin and/or other similar data modeling tools with focus on reporting and analytical applications. • Good to have experience in area of transactional banking, liquidity management. Education: • Bachelors degree or Advanced Degree
