Associate Principal - Architecture

Responsibilities

You will partner with Architects and service delivery teams to plan and implement infrastructure deployments and migrations for large enterprise customers moving customers from onpremises VMware environments to Azure VMware Solution

You will work directly with customer application infrastructure and security stakeholders to define requirements for successful deployment migrations

Maintain knowledge of the latest on AzureAVS and VMware products in order to deploy and migrate services as per industry best practices

Share knowledge with others through technical documents and internal trainings

Qualifications

Successful Candidate Competencies

Relevant experience in implementing and migrating data center and cloud infrastructures using VMware and Microsoft technologies

Knowledge and implementation experience on VMwares Core Cloud Infrastructure

o Required Azure VMware Solution

o Required VMware vSphere 60 and above

o Required VMware NSXT network virtualization technologies

NSX edge services DNS DHCP Gateway Firewall Distributed Firewall

NSX implementation

NSX migration from vlan or NSXv

o Required VMware vSAN

o Required VMware HCX Advanced Enterprise

o Preferred VMware Site Recovery Manager vSphere Replication

o Preferred VMware management suite vCD vROps vRNI vRLI

Experience with onpremisestoCloud or cloudtocloud migrations with VMware HCX

Experience with relevant Azure technologies like

o Required Azure ExpressRoute and Azure VPN

o Required Azure Virtual WAN and Azure Route Server

o Required Azure networking

o Preferred Azure Disk Pools and Azure NetApp Files

o Preferred Azure Monitoring and Security technologies Monitor Arc Security Center

o Preferred 3rd party network virtual appliances firewalls loadbalancers routers for Azure and VMware environments

Strong understanding of concepts including hardware platform hypervisor Networking security data protection high availability monitoring alerting patching etc

Familiarity with security compliance standards across a variety of enterprise IT landscapes

Experience with Azure Hosting or Infrastructure background and public cloud highly desired

A good understanding of datacenter networking fabric topologies and common architectures deployed both Layer 2 and Layer 3 based is highly desired

Strong communication skills

Education Qualifications

BS or postgraduate degree in Computer Science or technologyfocused discipline or equivalent experience

VCTA VCPDCV certification is preferred but not required

CCNP VCPNV certification is preferred but not required

Desired Qualifications

Experience working with enterprise customers on Azure specific solutions and deployment

Excellent customer service skills good oral and written communication skills proven ability to handle difficult and sensitive situations involving the most critical and politically charged customer situations to lead projects and to motivate others
